Thankful for the Waiting...

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV)

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Romans 8:28 (NIV)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Psalm 37:4 (ESV)

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

This photo was taken as Nathan was still down on his knee, just seconds after I said "Yes!" and he slipped the diamond ring on my finger. It was the best night of my life so far.

This Thanksgiving is incredibly special for me because it means there is only one week left until I get to marry the man I’ve been waiting for since I was a little girl. As I look forward to what is in store next week and in the years to come, I remember something I wrote on my Instagram last Thanksgiving:

There were days when I thought God had forgotten about me and the desires I knew He had placed on my heart. If I could go back and talk to my younger self, I would tell her, "God has your back. Stop worrying so much about how things will turn out. Just focus on what God is telling you to do today and He will take care of the rest. He hasn't forgotten about you."

God, thank you that your timing is perfect and you are working behind the scenes to bring about your best plan for our lives. Help us to trust in you, to focus on your voice today and to stop worrying about how tomorrow will turn out. You have it under control. Thank you that we can rest in the assurance of your love and faithfulness. We love you!!
